In 2014, I've re-branded this site from Soliloquy to Virtual Talent Philippines and focus on writing about the freelance career, entrepreneurship and my freelance journey.

My name is Caryl Joan Estrosas, I am the author and sole owner of this blog. Welcome to Virtual Talent Philippines blog!

I am an independent contractor 2011, mostly working on non-voice lead generation, market research, and administrative assistance.
I am looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills in social media marketing and digital marketing while helping clients achieve their project or business goals.

I am a self-taught in social media. As a blogger, I maintain and manage my social media presence. I also had the opportunity to start and manage the online presence and develop social media marketing for a local furniture company to increase inquiries and drive leads.

Prior to being a freelancer, I was a employed as QA and Planning Supervisor in a Japanese-Filipino manufacturing company in the Printed Circuit Board industry for 4 years. Then, I worked with DuPont Sustainable Solutions, the training arm of DuPont, where I earned 6 solid years of sales and marketing experience; hence, my familiarity with the entire sales process from prospecting, cold calling to closing the sales and after-sales customer service.

After 10 years of working at the corporate environment, I decided to work as a freelancer servicing international clients mostly in the US, AU and UK.

Let me hear what you have in mind.

I started this blog late 2000 with Soliloquy as the blog title. The word "soliloquy" means a monologue. Dictionary.com defines Soliloquy [suh-lil-uh-kwee] as an utterance or discourse by a person who is talking to himself or herself or is disregardful of or oblivious to any hearers present (often used as a device in drama to disclose a character's innermost thoughts).

Initially, the plan was to provide a vent for my thoughts. I realize it wasn't a brilliant idea as it only fuels negativity. Brought by maturity and through God's grace, I outgrew those negative emotions. Together with the change of my attitude and my perspective in life, I also change this blog.

Since 2011, I started writing post relevant to my career as a freelancer. And since then, this blog has shifted its focused from personal to a more career-oriented topics.

In January 2014, I decided to change the title of this blog, not only with SEO in my mind but also with the objective to improve on this blog's readership and also with the intend to help amateur freelancers like me.
